Vacation Work Opportunity at CSIR

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has Vacation Work opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate (Honours) students. The vacation work programme is designed to provide students with experience and understanding of research and development and the implementation thereof in projects. The programme is spread across various fields, with a strong focus in science, engineering, technology and mathematics.
The CSIR is a leading scientific and technology research organisation, implementing projects throughout Africa and making a difference in people’s lives.
Requirements
To qualify you must be a current student in the following disciplines:
  • bachelor degree in engineering in the following fields: • Electrical; • Aeronautical; • Biomedical; • Electronic; • Computer; • Mechatronic; • Mechanical; • Metallurgical; • Industrial; • Computer;
  • bachelor’s degree in the following fields: • Computer Science; • Applied Mathematics; • Biomedical; • Chemistry; • Information Technology; • Information Systems • Material Science • Biochemistry; • Physics;
  • Honours degree in the following fields: • Biomedical Engineering; • Industrial Engineering • Electronic; • Computer Engineering; • Computer Science;
  • Bachelor of Technology in the following fields:• Biochemistry; • Chemistry; • Physics • Chemical Engineering • Mechanical Engineering; • Metallurgical Engineering;
