The Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation is contributing towards skills development by providing opportunities to unemployed graduates to gain work experience in various skills areas. It is therefore inviting applications for an Internship Programme that will run for a 12 Months contract period. Interns will receive a stipend of R4 034.00
The internship programme is aimed at enhancing the employability of unemployed graduates aged between 18 and 35 years.
Requirements: Applications must be graduates in fields specified below and/ or have successfully completed the theoretical part of study and are in need of experiential learning in order to complete the qualification
  • Mass Participation Programme, Recreation in Sports – Diploma / Degree Sports Management (Ref No: SACR/01)
  • School Sports – Diploma / Degree Sport Management (Ref No: SACR/02)
  • Club Development – Diploma / Degree Sport Management (Ref No:SACR/03)
  • Academy – Diploma / Degree Sports Science, Biokinetics (Ref No:SACR/04)
  • Club Development – Diploma / Degree sports Management / Administration (Ref No: SACR/05)
  • Creative Industries – Fine arts, Design Graphics, Design and Arts Management (Ref No: SACR/ 06 West/South)
  • Performing Arts – Degree / Degree Music, Performing Arts, Arts Administration (Ref No: SACR/07)
  • Creative Communities – N4 or N5 Certificate Project Management, Performing Arts, Events Management (Ref No:SACR/08)
  • Libraries – Degree/Diploma Library and Information Science (Ref No: SACR/09)
  • Creative Clusters- Bachelor of Arts, Diploma in Arts and Culture (Ref No:SACR/10 West
  • Languages and Geographical Names – Diploma/ Degree in Heritage Studies (Ref No:SACR/11 West/South)

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend for the duration of the Internship contract.
